Racing - Whittington set for Sunday racing

HOLCOMBE point-to-point races at Whittington, near Kirkby Lonsdale, take place on a Sunday this year (April 3) and there is plenty on offer to tempt racegoers.

A full card starts with popular pony racing at 1pm and then the seven-race main action begins at 2pm featuring the ladies and men's open races before closing with at 5.30pm.

Attractions include the champagne and sea food bar, a children's fairground and a parade of hounds.

Entry is £25 for cars with pedestrians charged £5.

The going is described as good to soft, soft in place as of Saturday.
