GOALS from Alex Taylor and Mark Jackson got Kendal back to winning ways at Frickley Athletic with a 2-0 away win.
Town had lost their previous three matches but Alex Taylor gave them an early 10th minute lead when he slipped past two defenders in the box and fired past Ben Simpson.
Danny Williams created most of Town's chances as they looked to build on their lead and it was only through Simpson's heroics that prevented Williams getting on the score sheet with three quick fire saves towards the end of the half.
Town came out after the break and went in search of a second to put the game beyond Frickley.
But Frickley put pressure on the Town defence late on, with a few chances being fired wide.
David Newnes was playing his last game in a Town shirt and was in no mood to concede and it was a counter-attacking move from sub Carl Osman and Gary McEvatt which put the game to bed.
Osman and McEvatt broke at pace with a quick one-two before Osman put a ball into the box for fellow sub Mark Jackson to poke home at the back post.
