Swimming - Relay squads charge on to podium

THE Kendal 9/10 girls A team of Brodie Swallow, Imogen Burrow, Emily Reay and Josie Bates finished third in the 200m medley and freestyle relays at the Cumbria County Championships in Carlisle.

After strong qualification swims, the quartet had to settle for third place in the final, while the boys 13/14 medley and freestyle squad of Crispin Halcrow, Liam Bagge, Harry Denney, James Wroe and James Quinn had a similar result to pick up third spot.

Troutbeck Bridge climbed onto the podium when the 13/14 girls medley team of Laura Garrick, Stephanie Booth, Amy Richardson and Hazel Marsh were absolutely superb were touched into second by Cockermouth.

They then gave a repeat performance in the freestyle final to collect another second place.
