ALL six home teams won in this week’s Division 1 matches in the Kendal and District Bowling League The best results came from Netherfield B, who beat Holme B 9-1 and newcomers at this level Lower Holker A by the same scoreline against Arnside A.

However, Kings Arms Hale A take an earlyl ead at the top of the table after an 8-2 win over Victoria A.

Crosthwaite A won 9-1 at home to Allithwaite A in Division 2 to stay in first place with Milnthorpe A on their tails after their 6-4 home win against Ingleborough A.

Division Three Lindale A produced an strong 7-3 away win at Heversham, but Sedbergh’s 6-4 win at home to Kirkby Lonsdale gave them a head start at the top.

Cumbria Ladies triumphed in their first match of the season, by beating Staffordshire by 32 chalks. The full results were home leg 230 C, 196 S and away leg 199 S and 197 C making a total of 427 Cumbria and Staffordshire 395. Home legs was held at Levens Bowling Club.
