KENDAL Town are expected to face Chester, Barwell and Stafford Rangers in the Evo-Stik Premier League as the post-season play-offs draw to a close the 2010-2011 campaign.
Lee Ashcroft’s men were left disappointed with an eighth place finish after an inconsistent season but will be hoping for better fortunes next season.
And among the sides that could join Kendal in the Evo-Stik next season are Chorley and AFC Fylde, which could provide a local derby fixture which has eluded Town in recent seasons.
The two sides go head to head for promotion to the Premier Division on Friday, where they will join former Football League side Chester City, a fixture that should provide Town with a high gate.
Good news for club officials on Monday was Colwyn Bay’s play-off victory against FC United of Manchester, which means the annual visit of around 1,000 fans continues for another year.
But while Town fans can enjoy a couple of local away trips, they will also have to make the long journeys down to Leicestershire to play Barwell and the West Midlands to face Rushall Olympics.
With Blue Square Conference North side Redditch United being relegated into the Southern Premier League, Evo-Stik officials will meet to confirm the line-ups for their divisions later this month.
