N Lancs Football - Cartmel Reserves retain trophy

CARTMEL Reserves kept hold of the Fisher/Howson Remembrance Cup after a 3-0 victory over Storeys Reserves.

Skipper Alastair Daggart put in Billy Garnett to cut in from the right wing and fired home to give Cartmel the perfect start.

Cartmel’s fast, flowing football continued, so it was no surprise when John Mason made it 2-0 after 25 minutes. Storeys came back and were unlucky to see two shots cleared off the goal-line as they began to get on top before half time.

It was a more evenly contested second half as Cartmel looked comfortable defending a 2-0 lead and with a few minutes remaining man of the match Mason scored his second on the final.
