HOME advantage counted for little to Windermere A, who lost 9-1 to joint leaders Kings Arms Hale A in the Kendal and District League.
Hale A are tied with Holme A on 41 points after five weeks of competition. Both leaders remain unbeaten as Holme A won beat fourth-placed Netherfield A 8-2.
Crosthwaite A extended their lead at the top of Division 2 with a 6-4 home win at home to Ingleborough A and are five points clear of Burneside A, and a further five points clear of Milnthorpe A.
Netherfield C maintain their dominance in Division 3 by winning 8-2 over Kirkby Lonsdale and so do Ambleside B in Division 4 who dominated 9-1 against Lower Holker C.

AFTER four weeks of the Rothay League season, Levens A have an eight-point lead at the top of Division 1 and took maximum points against struggling Windermere in their latest match.
Bowness A had a good result against Staveley A, winning 6-4 at Staveley and now share second place with those rivals, but club colleagues, Bowness B lost heavily at home to Lower Holker A and slipped to the bottom of the table.
In Division 2, Ambleside A produced a 10-0 victory over Coniston B in its bid to make a quick return to the upper flight.
he most likely contenders might be Lindale who had a 9-1 home win over Hawkshead B.

DANNY Varcoe and Liam Baxter won the KA Hale Doubles, sponsored by P. J. Willacy, when they beat father and son Marti nand Alan Gilpin 21-13 in the final. In the semi-finals, the Gilpins beat Danny Kirby and Ken McQueen 21-12, while the eventual winners beat Keith McMath and Colin Wilson 21-20.
DANNY Kirby and Ken McQueen (Warton) beat Steve Hillbeck (Victoria) and John Sarsfield (Netherfield) 21-18 in the final of Kendla Victoria VC’S Spring Pairs on Sunday. The beaten semi-finalists were David Rocastle & Peter Robinson (Warton) 21-11, and Les Foden and parnter, who lost 21-8 to the eventual winners.
GRANDFATHER and grandson Harold and Daniel Varcoe beat husband and wife Colin and Anne Slinger 21-17 in the finasl of Croswaite open Pairs on Sunday. The losing sem-finalists were Robert Grisedale and Callum Baxter (Holme BC) and Jim Oswald and Terry Mercer (Victoria BC).
