CYCLIST Leon Bond has embarked on a personal Fred Whitton 10-in-10 Challenge running in the same time sequence alongside the Brathay Windermere 10-in10 Challenge.
Bond, from the Midlands, only turned to wheels a year ago when a knee injury stopped him from running.
He is setting out daily out from the BP Garage in Coniston and had completed four of the 116-mile circuits over the Lakeland passes by Monday.
He is raising money through sponsorship for MacMillan Nurses.
