Bowling - King Arms sneak narrow lead over rivals

KINGS Arms A opened up the narrowest of gaps at the top of Division1 in the Kendal and District League as they won comfortably 8-2 against Staveley A, while second-placed Holme A won 7-3 at Bowness A It ended Bowness’s unmbeaten run but only a point separates the top two.

Holme B, new to Division 1, produced their first win, 8-2 against Windermere A, while Arnside A lost 9-1 against Netherfield A.

Unbeaten Netherfield C’s confident start continues in Division 3 by winning 8-2 at Sedbergh and Langdale top Division 4 helped by a 10-0 win against Lower Holker B.

League newcomers Hawkshead lead Division 5 after losing at Lindale C and winning at Holme D.
