GOLF-mad youngsters in Cumbria can play on a Tour all of their own.
The county's 2011 Junior Golf Tou is aimed at young golfers ranging from seven to 12 years-old.
And for the first time, the winners of the Order of Merit will go head to head against players from the Junior Tours in Northumberland and Durham in a special final match in September.
As part of a county-wide drive to encourage children to take up the sport, competitors on the Tour do not need to be members of a club or even have an official handicap.
And the whole family can get involved – at each venue there will be free taster sessions for adults and a family putting contest.
Competitions take place over nine holes at four different courses.
The events are:Sunday, July 10: Furness GC (2pm-5pm); Sunday, July 17: Workington GC (2.30pm-5pm); Sunday, July 31: Stonyholme GC (2.30pm-5pm); Sunday, August 14: Penrith GC (2.30pm-5pm).
The entry fee is £15 for all four events – or £5 per event. To qualify for the final players must play in at least three events.
