THE Biketreks Racing Team, the North West’s newest cycling team, has been busy racing this past few weeks with a good string of results.
The team has continued to race positively at Salt Ayre on Tuesday evenings with Ulverston’s Gary Spencely and Chris Anderson consistently getting into the top 10.
Windermere’s Kieren Banlin has been racing midweek on the Kent Valley Road Club and producing a good series of results including an excellent second place at the Bob Swailes Road Race.
Lancaster’s John Dodgin’s season has been getting steadily stronger too with two excellent wins at Grizebeck and Gamswell Hill climbs, placing at the Bob Swailes RR/Bole Hill and more recently a win at Lazonby Road Race.
Meanwhile, after a lull in form and some bad luck, Nic Bertrand, from Lancaster, has been getting into shape in time for a 12-hour stint on Mont Ventoux in a couple of weeks.
