Cricket - Girls invited to MCC camp

GIRLS from across Cumbria are invited to a special MCC Spirit of Cricket summer camp held at Netherfield CC on Thursday and Friday, July 28 and 29.

Coached by international cricketers Jenny Gunn, Danielle Hazell and Lydia Greenway and costing just £15, the two-day camp is open to girls of all abilities aged 8-14.

Steve Benson, Cumbria Cricket Board Development Officer and co-ordinator of the Camp said: “It’s a great boost for girls from the local area to have England women’s players to inspire them.”

“The MCC Spirit of Cricket summer camps provide an extra chance for girls to play the game and are a great way to enthuse girls about cricket.”
