Robinson, from Kendal, will play for Wurzburg in the national league but will also come up against the best teams at club level in Europe.
He said: “Wurzburg are a very good team and I will be playing in the LEN trophy, which is for the best four teams from each league in Europe, and the highest standard you can play at club level.
“It is a great opportunity to be playing at such a high standard leading up to the Olympics.”
Robinson is the only Team GB member playing for Wurzburg this season, but anothe five GB teammates will play for other clubs in Germany as the squad looks to develop its skills ahead of the London Games.
