KINGS Arms Hale A have not given up the battle for the Division 1 title in the Kendal and District Lague.
A 9-1 victory over Windermere A took them to within three points of leaders Holme A, who also won 6-4 at third-placed Netherfield A .
With only four matches left every point will count for both teams.
Division 2 leaders Crosthwaite A and Milnthorpe A both lost away this week, but Crosthwaite hold a 23-point led at the top.
Milnthorpe A are only one point ahead of Kings Arms Hale B who snuck into third with a comfortable win away at Subscription A.
Unbeaten Netherfield C remain out ahead in Division 3, but Lindale A consolidated second place with a 10-0 win over Subscription B and both teams must be confident of promotion.
A three-way battle in Division 4 between Milnthorpe B, Langdale and Ambleside B remains nip and tuck after all the sides won well.
Division 5 promotion hopefuls Hawkshead had a good week, winning 10-0 and 9-1 .

THE Steve Watson Open Doubles was held at Queeens Park BC for the Harry Brantingham Shield. In a closely contested final Andy Thornton and Tony Whitehouse (King Alfred) emerged 21-20 winners over Peter Dobson and Ronnie Jones (Windermere).
In the semi-finals Thornton and Whitehouse beat Chris Goodwin (Windermere) and Brian Nicholson (Netherfield) 21-7, and Dobsonand Jones beat Colin and Ann Slinger (Burneside) 21-18.
