KENDAL water polo club made it six wins from seven games when beating Blackpool 15-7 recently.

Blackpool made a bright start and were three goals to the good before Dan Barker and Matt Greaves pulled two goals back by the end of the first quarter.

Marc Robinson, Barker and Myles Little scored as they match was level 6-6 at half time but a firm talking to meant Kendal impressed and dominated the second half.

Further goals from Greaves, Barker, Little, Darren Gibson and James Mackareth ensured the victory in the fourth quarter.

The match followed an 18-8 win on the road at Preston which means Kendal have won six and drawn one of their opening seven games, ahead of the derby tie against Lancaster in Saltayre on Thursday, September 8.
