Gymnastics: Lightning strikes for golden Kendal team

A TEAM of Kendal gymnasts were in lightning form as they took team gold at the Pink Ladies Invitational competition in Durham at the start of October.

Alice took a superb overall individual gold, with teammate Rachel Camp taking silver and Jasmine Callon fourth as the club entered the competition for the first time.

Becca Hill (13U) set a good standard as she came fifth in her category while Jamie-Lea Trickett (Novice 10U) starred as she claimed her bronze on the beam with Laura Chetham (Novice 8U) placing fourth on the floor.

In the Cumbria County Championships, Jenny Paulett took intermediate level silver in her first competition behind Trickett, while the team collected the gold medal.
