Kendal 3
Morecambe 2nds 3
KENDAL found themselves 2-0 down after just 20 minutes as they made a nervy start with talisman Ewan Galloway missing due to illness.
Morecambe split the defence twice for their lead but a second half resurgence saw the hosts’ midfield take charge.
Liam Derome played out of his skin up front and rounded the keeper to reduce the deficit, before earning a short corner, which Nick Davis deflected home to level the match.
Derome put Kendal in front for the first time when he ran through the Morecambe defence to fire home and it was looking good as the visitors chased the game.
But the game was to end a draw after Morecambe were awarded a dubious penalty corner with just two minutes to go which they struck home.
Saturday’s match against Mossley Hill 2nds was postponed, while Windermere’s match in Division Four against Oxton also fell foul of the weather.
In Division Three South Lakes moved further clear of the drop zone with a 2-0 home win against Bebington 2nds.
