KENDAL rider James Ellison will return to the Moto GP circuit for the 2012 season after being snapped up to ride in a new team by Penrith’s Paul Bird.
Ellison, 31, had a turbulent 2011 season competing between the World Supersport Championship and the British Superbikes Championship, but will ride in Bird’s team under the Claiming Rule Team category.
Bird is expected to purchase two 1000cc Aprilia bikes, with Ellison, who has two previous years of Moto GP experience behind him, set to take one of the seats.
