MILNTHORPE Corinthians had to settle for a point despite making much of the early play against GSK Ulverston Rangers.
Cors missed some good chances in the first half and it was GSK who took a 35th minute lead.
However, it was short-lived as Brian Pennington levelled on the stroke of half-time after good work from Andy Wilkin and Adam Garnett.
Pennington put the Cors 2-1 up 10 minutes after the break with a nice shot on the turn but GSK grew in confidence and pegged the game back to 2-2.
Cors, who moved up to eighth in the league, will face Todmorden Borough in the league’s Challenge Cup first round at the weekend.
Mike Barron struck for Ambleside United as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Bolton County on Saturday.
United stretched their lead at the top to two points with the point ahead of their table-topping clash with second placed Burscough Richmond this weekend.
In the league’s only other tie to go ahead, Croston Sports won 6-1 at Furness Cavaliers.
* Westmorland Football League : Only one game survived in the Bluefin Westmorland Football League and that came in Division Four.
