Kendal 4
Rochdale 4
Rochdale travelled with a couple of subs, while Kendal again had only a bare 11.
Kendal played ssome good hockey for much of first half with Ewan Galloway again scoring twice, but Rochdale dug deep and got back to 2-2 just after break.
Then Rochdale made their strength pay with a further two goals, one from a short corner and the other from a swift breakaway.
The strength and size of squad was beginning to show but with five minutes to go Galloway again broke away to complete his hat-trick and dragged the game back to 4-3.
And with time running out another scramble in the Rochdale D resulted in a penalty flick being awarded to Kendal. With nerves of steel Steve Barclay netted with the last stroke of the day as the umpires blew for time and Kendal celebrated a hard-fought 4-4 draw.

TWELVE goals in two days put Windermere in the box seat for promotion as they won 7-0 and 5-0 at the weekend.
Windermere have moved seven points clear of their nearest rivals, Lytham St Annes 2nds, with victories at home to Winnington Park 2nds and Oxton 3rds.
The NW Division 4 leaders took 15 minutes to break down Saturday's visitors Park but then struck three times in quick succession as Will Dolman (2) and Steve Heyns put them in control.
Harry Jackson and Rob Green added two more goals when play resumed and with a 5-0 half-time lead the match was effectively over.
Knowing that they had another game next day, Mere took their foot off the gas a little and Park began pressing, but that only prompted Mere to reply with two more goals from counter-attacks, scored again by Jackson and Green.
Andy Hartnett was yellow-carded for taking down an aerial ball above shoulder height but that was the only other incident.
On Sunday the goals kept flowing with Dolman again starting the scoring with a drag flick to the left of the keeper.
Heyns bagged a second before Keenan Quill finished a flowing move involving Tom Maloney and Matt Hartnett.
Scott Santamera scored from a penalty corner routine for 4-0 and Jackson added a fifth as Windermere finished in style.
