SPORTING fixtures across the South Lakes have been postponed for a second week due to the icy weather in the region.
Last weekend only two fixtures escaped the big freeze and it looks bleak for local sport again today, Saturday.
Kendal Town's Evo-Stik Premier League tie with Chasetown has been called off with snow lying frozen on the Parkside Road pitch.
It is a similar story at Mint Bridge where Kendal RUFC were due to play Loughborough Students.
Instead the team will now travel to Newton Rigg for a training session with all their surfaces frozen.
Kendal ladies hockey match with Chester has been postponed, but Kendal men are hoping to play away at Didsbury this afternoon.
The local derby between Ambleside United and Milnthorpe Corinthians in the West Lancashire Football League and Kendal County's home tie against Todmorden Borough have also fallen to the weather.
The majority of Bluefin Westmorland Football League and Baines Bagguley North Lancashire and District Football League games have also been postponed.
If your game has gone ahead, send a match report to patrick.okane@kendal.newsquest.co.uk or call 01539 710157.
