Four more win Royal International horse tickets at Lancashire Championships

KATY Heginbotham from Barrows Green was in tremendous form as she won the novice working hunter and the horse championship at the Lancashire Championships.

She was riding five-year-old Carnsdale Talk Talk by former Olympic show jumping stallion Iroko, while her younger sister Francesca had a good third in the heritage working hunter with Spiddal Rocky.

Victoria Earl from Arnside will make her debut at the Royal International riding seven-year-old gelding Leadgate Black Phanthon by Waterside William 11 after winning the strongly-contested Dales, Fells and Highland section at the Lancashire Championships in Longridge.

She went on to take the overall mountain and moorland championship.

Ulverston’s Emily Myerscough won the 153cm working hunter and took reserve championship riding pony Indian Squaw.

James Knipe from Lambrigg won the novice working hunter championship riding six-year-old Otterburn Bertram, while Alasdair Prickett from Farleton had two good second in the working hunter with his new pony Rocheston Prince and a third in the open with Dungarven.
