Team GB struggle in water polo as three-time champions canter to victory

GREAT Britain were soundly beaten in their third men’s match at the Water Polo Arena in the Olympic Park.

Kendal’s Glen Robinson was in the squad that took on the three-times Olympic champions Hungary were never in trouble as they won 17-6.

The Hungarians raced into a 6-1 lead by the end of the quarter but Team GB brought it back to an 11-5 deficit at half time.

The pace died down in the second half and Britain didn’t score a goal in the third period as Hungary went 15-5 up.

The Brits got a consolation in the final quarter but Hungary scored twice more to make it 17-6 at full time.
