CHRIS Thompson bagged a hat-trick as Cumberland won the MCCA Trophy by seven wickets.
They defeated Wiltshire in the final at Wormsley Cricket Club as Thompson's heroics helped get Wiltshire all out for 184 in the 46th over.
Carnforth pro Toby Bulcock bowled solidly to claim 3-25 as Ashur Morrison hit 59 for Wiltshire.
In reply Josh Tolley hit nine fours and a six on his way to scoring 67 runs off 78 balls in his innings lasting 112 minutes.
Barrow hitman Jonathan Miles struck 41, while fellow batter Liam Livingstone and captain Gary Pratt brought the trophy to Cumberland by scoring 16 not out and an unbeaten 24 respectively.
Livingstone was the man who had the honour of securing the victory by hitting a boundary to finish the match off in style.
Cumberland team manager Ian Sharp said: "It has been a hell of a journey but I am very pleased - it is the proudest moment of my eight years as Cumberland team manager.
"The wicket was very good and we were always confident that we were going to win."
