Holme A clinch Kendal and District Bowling League title in style thanks to 10-0 victory

HOLME A won the Kendal and District Bowling League thanks to a resounding 10-0 victory at KA Hale B.
Going into the final week they are 15 points clear of KA Hale A, who lost 6-4 to Netherfield A to cut their lead over the third-placed side to four points.
Lower Holker A and KA Hale B are bottom two in Division One.
Battling in Division Two for the second promotion spot behind clear leaders Victoria A are Lindale A, who produced a confident 8-2 win over the leaders, and Burton, who dominated at home against Milnthorpe A 9,1. Allithwaite A are also in the mix after a 7-3 success at Arnside A.
The Championship weekend competitions will take place on Saturday September 22 for Divisions One, Two and Three and Sunday September 23 for Divisions One and Two.

With rain causing the Staveley A versus Windermere match to be postponed, Levens have a 19-point advantage over their nearest rivals.
Windermere and Lindale are now detached and have been relegated from Division One after Ambleside A and Bowness A pulled clear of the drop zone with both picking up 8-2 victories.
Hawkshead A moved up to second in Division Two after the three of the other sides in the top four had matches postponed.

Netherfield A, who lead Warton A by just one point, were beaten at KA Hale while Lindale A triumphed over Warton A.
Victoria A remain bottom on 28 points having lost 8-0 to Netherfield B while Heversham A are one place above them, losing 7-1 at home to Lower Holker A on Monday.
