Cumbria Ladies miss out on Crown Green Waterloo glory

CUMBRIA Ladies missed out on Waterloo Cup final glory despite an excellent effort in Blackpool.
The team clocked up 10 wins out of the 24 matches against Shropshire in the final, with the end result being Shropshire 448-383 Cumbria - a commendable result for the first time the county has reached this level.
The best win of the day came from Doreen Robinson of Subscription, who prevailed 21-8, and Jessica Wernham from King Alfred, who won 21-10.
