YOUNG Bentham cyclist Fabian Brennan has been awarded a place on the British Cycling Talent Team.
The team is made up of 25 under-16 boys and girls from different disciplines of road and track cycling, mountain biking and BMX.
Fabian will benefit from following a training programme under the guidance of a British Cycling coach, and will attend monthly training camps with the other members of the team.
The15-year-old, a pupil at Lancaster Royal Grammar School, cycles for Salt Ayre Cog Set Club and was selected on the basis of his results in national road and track competitions over the last two years and on his performance at a gruelling selection day at the Manchester Velodrome.
Fabian said “I am very happy to be selected for the Talent Team and can’t wait to start the challenge of training with them. I think this is a very important step towards reaching my goal to be a professional and it is a great opportunity for me.”
