No Wigan cheer for Caton in Amateur Cup

CATON United were knocked out of the Lancashire Football Association Amateur Cup second round as they went down 3-2 at Ince Central in Wigan.
The home side took an early lead but Steve Oliver netted from close in to bring Caton back in the game.
Two classic passages of play saw the home side go into a 3-1 lead before a good strike from Jordan Sparks gave him a debut goal for his club.
It was all Caton towards the end but the home side rode their luck to run out 3-2 winners in a game wither side could have won.
Carnforth Rangers carried on where they left off by beating Leigh Legion 6-0. Carnforth started brilliantly and soon took control with goals scored at regular intervals through Adam Lund, Damien Murphy, a brilliant hat trick from man of the match Asa Stone and Ricky Ball.

In round two Arnside were nearly the victims of a massive shock when Moghuls when 3-1 up - Chris Howsley scoring for Arnside.
James Kirkham pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 and in the 88th minute Moghul’s defence cracked, allowing Kirkham to score his second to send the game into extra time.
Arnside took the lead with a good goal scored by James Barr but Moghuls equalised when Rizwan Koda scored his second.
But with five minutes left James Thornton put Arnside into the lead and Marco Thompson finished the game off with the sixth goal a minute from time.
In round three Arnside will be away to Bentham, who beat Division Three side Torrisholme 5-2. A Dan Johnson own goal, two from James Earnshaw, and goals for James Barlow and Sam Lister gave Bentham the victory.
Tic Dynamos of Overton and Middleton lost their 100 per cent record as they lost 3-0 to Bowerham in the only Premier Division game of the North Lancs League.
In Division One Carnforth Rangers Reserves beat Bolton le Sands 5-2 to move top of the division while Kirkby Lonsdale beat Marsh United Reserves 4-1.
