CHRIS Thompson struggled in the men’s 10,000 metres on a glorious night for British athletics at the Olympic Park. Thompson, from Barrow-in-Furness, was always towards the back of the field as fellow Brit Mo Farah won a sensational gold, and Thompson never looked like getting in the medals.
