NETHERFIELD continue to dominate at the top of Northern Premier Cricket League Division Two following an eight wicket win at home to Fleetwood in a rain affected encounter.

The game was reduced to 38 overs aside and saw Netherfield restrict Fleetwood to 123-8 with Marc Hadwin the pick of the bowlers after claiming figures of 4-29.

Matthew Clinton was also in the wickets taking two while Stuart Nixon and Joel Bibby claimed one each.

In reply Matthew Goodall's 52 and Matthew Atkinson's unbeaten 52 eased Netherfield to victory closing on 124-2 in 25.2 Overs.

Nathan Dixon hit the winning runs after he posted a quick fire 15.

Netherfield now travel to Leyland as they face the holders of the title in a crunch game.

Meanwhile, Kendal's woes continue as their depleted second team crashed to a nine wicket defeat at St Annes.

The squad, which largely consisted of third team players with only five of the 11 having second team experience, were bowled out for 71 in 32.5 overs. Oliver Tyson was the main run getter with 35 while St Annes' Matthew Yeadon returned figures of 4-19.

The home side eased to victory in just 18 overs closing on 72-1 with Josh Taylor unbeaten on 29.
