SALESBURY captain Liam Parkinson inspired his side to a six-wicket win over Padiham in the Ribblesdale League on Saturday.

The skipper took 3-19 to help bowl Padiham out for 141 before making 64 in a successful run chase.

Sam Bristol took four wickets for Salesbury and Hashen Ramanayake made an unbeaten 22 while Padiham had Callum Clarke (55) and Jimmy Grey (32) to thank for posting a competitive total.

Read were in the runs against Cherry Tree as they wrapped up an impressive 182-run victory.

The visitors made 294-4 with Kyle O’Connor hitting 75 and Connor Lowes (74 not out) and Joshua Lavin (58 not out) putting on an unbroken 138 for the fifth wicket.

Cherry Tree were never in the hunt in reply and were all out for 112.

Ribblesdale Wanderers completed a thrilling victory over Whalley thanks to an unbeaten 66 from Andrew Needham,

That helped Wanderers get home with one wicket remaining and 10 balls to spare.

Earlier, Whalley had posted 167-8 from their 39 overs with Stuart Crabtree making 40.

Primosh Perera took 4-72 and Jordan Britcliffe 3-45 for Wanderers.

The day’s other game saw Earby completed a two wicket win over Barnoldswick after chasing down 98 all out.

Brinscall captain Liam Winstanley hit 45 as his side secured a three wicket win over Oswaldtwistle Immanuel.

Ossie recovered from 82-6 to post 165-9 thanks to Anthony Dignan’s 35 not out and Dan Metcalf’s 33.

Josh Andrew took 4-46 for Salesbury who got over the line with two overs to spare.

Feniscowles claimed an excellent win over Baxenden thanks to 68 from Ruan Kotze.

Charlie Errey added 24 not out as Feniscowles chased down their target with two overs to spare and three wickets in hand.

Earlier, Errey had taken four wickets with Bash indebted to Matt Griffin’s 51 in total of 152 all out.

Settle remain on top of the Section A pile after maintaining their 100 per cent start to the season against Euxton.

Euxton made a good start with Aneeq Hassan (43) and Andrew Winrow laying the foundations.

But Settle responded with late wickets to leave the home side 120-7. Ben Dowling bolstered the total with some lower order hitting as he made 37 not out and helped his side to 159-7.

In reply, Settle’s Jack Harrison (61) and sub professional Ockert Erasmus (50) both made half centuries as the leaders got over the line with just two wickets down.
