Cricket - Burneside move into last 32 of Village Cup

BURNESIDE CC are through the last last 32 of the national Village Cup knockout competition after beating Shireshead in the area final at a sun-drenched Ellergreen Park on Sunday.

Shireshead made 154-7 and Burneside won by four wickets, knocking off the runs at 155-6 with three overs to spare.

They will play Folkton and Flixton from the Yorkshire and district Senior League in round six at Burneside on Sunday, June 28.
