NETHERFIELD Seconds’ batting failed for the second week running.
They were shuffled out for 84 in prusiot of Darwen’s moderate target of 111.
The Parksiders’ tally contained contributions of S. Dixon (38) and G. Baker (25) as the rest made little impact.
C. Davies bowled well for Darwen to take 6-17 as five lbw decision featured on the sheet.
Darwen’s 111 came with J. Anderson top-scoring on 38 as Netherfield bowlers N. Chambers (3-24) and J. Stafford (3-20) shared the spoils.
* Nine-man KENDAL Seconds were thwarted by St Annes batsman G. Whitehead, whose unbeaten 77 was the difference been the sides in a 24-run defeat.
Take away Whitehead’s knock and Sains would have struggled. Instead they made 156-8.
Veteran A. Potts captured 5-34 with six maidens in his 17 overs.
Kendal showed a measure of promise in reply with M. Phillips (45) once again impressing and S. Nelson (30) supportive. But a streak of single-figure efforts left Paul Dowker (20no) the last man standing as they were 139-9 all out, with B. Willis (4-25) in a starring role with the ball.
