CARNFORTH pro Gareth Pedder undid Kendal by bowling the last five wickets for just five runs.
Earlier, Carnforth had struggled to 112-7 before rallying to 160 all out thanks mainly to Darren Nelson’s unbeaten 32.
That took the gloss of some earlier attentive bowling from Stu Parkin (3-36), Nick Lewthwaite (3-42 and Chris Miller (3-50).
In reply, Kendal showed eve of cup final nerves and faltered to 27 for four but Chris Marshall (30) and Jack White (22) rallied them to 88 for five.
Pedder’s singular solo performance wrapped up the innings for just 93 in 37.5 overs - a 67-run defeat. It rewarded him with 6 for 24 from 13.5 overs and was the decisive display of an often muddling game.
