MIKE Dugdale, son of veteran Andy, turned in a fine all-round display for Kendal 2nds in a six-run victory over Preston 2nds on Sunday.
Kendal were all out for 129 in 37.4 overs and had Dugdale (31) and Donovan Du Plessis (21) to thank, along with 35 extras.
Preston’s run chase was led by Ralph Cairns (34) but they struggled after he was lbw to Dugdale (3-23) and Stuart Nelson (4-31) ran through the tail as they fell short on 126.
Netherfield 2nds hunted down Morecambe 2nds’ 183 for five on Sunday for an eight-wicket win. Robbie Lambert (51) and Oliver Hill (33) led the run chase before Stephen Jones’s unbeaten 66 ensured victory at 187-2.
Against Carnforth on Saturday, Stuart Dixon hit a top-scoring 58 out of 180-9 as Bradley Hoyle took 5-66. Carnforth avoided defeat at 124-7 with Reuben Bragg (21) and Gary Baxendale (16) denying the bowlers.
