500 riders took part in the biggest field for the Kendal Sportive when challenging routes were made worse by the cold and wet conditions.
The choice for the riders was between a 53 mile route or a 82 mile route, both with a timed section up the Barbon Hill Climb.
The event based at Staveley attracted both experienced and new cyclists to the growing sport.
The timed climb was won by Alastair Dunn in a time of 14:24.70 just 14 seconds behind was Ross Litherland and Kendals Mat Livesey following in 3rd.
Suzanne Green was the first female up the Barbon timed climb in 18:30.35 with Emma Baines and Julie Allen following.
