OLIVER MILLS scored a late leveller as Kendal Celtic recovered from a two-goal half-time deficit to earn a share of the spoils against Ibis.

Ibis held a commanding half-time lead thanks to goals from Josh Ford and Gareth Wells, although Kendal Celtic rallied to dominate the final half-hour of the match.

The turning point was the introduction of Brad Earl, with the substitution paying an early dividend as he scrambled the ball home from a corner with ten minutes remaining.

With two minutes left on the clock, Celtic drew level to complete their comeback with Mills’ looping overhead kick finding the back of the net.

Elsewhere in Division Two, Windermere SC returned to the top of the league with a 3-1 victory over Shap with Rudi Colman’s strike adding to a Reece Barnes double.

Goals from Jack Akrigg, Sam Hunter and Jordan Kenny secured a 3-0 win for Endmoor KGR over Unisun Athletic, who lost ground at the league’s summit as a consequence.

Meanwhile, Eden Thistle played out a 2-2 draw with Kirkby Thore Rangers while a Scott Underwood hat-trick was the standout feature of Wetheriggs United Reserves’ 3-3 draw at Langwathby United.

In Division One, goals from Dale Metcalfe, Damon McNaughton and Scott Ostle were not enough for Carvetii United who went down 4-3 at Wetheriggs United.

There were big wins for both Sedbergh Wanderers and Kirkoswald who routed Burneside 8-1 and Appleby 8-0 respectively, while Penrith Reserves beat Staveley United 3-1.

Kendal United Reserves closed the gap at the Division Three summit as a Kyle Hansen double together with goals from Joel Scales and Shaun Sorrenson secured a 4-0 victory over Kendal Celtic Reserves.

Connor McAvoy and Dolan Parkinson were on target as Windermere SC Reserves beat Burneside Reserves as Greystoke thrashed Esthwaite Vale 6-0.

In Division Four, Andrew Butterworth, Scott Forrester, Andrew Little and Shaun O’Hagan did the damage in front of goal as table-toppers Appleby Reserves recorded a 4-2 victory over Greystoke Reserves.

Lunesdale United Reserves remain hot on their heels with a 5-1 demolition of Penrtih Saints with John Wolstenholme leading the way with four goals as James Mandle also registered.

Elsewhere, Carleton Banks returned from Dent Reserves with a 2-1 victory while Carvetii United Reserves drew 5-5 with Penrith Academy as Ullswater United’s clash with Ibis Reserves was abandoned.
