Burneside FC's groundsman receives FA acclaim
Highly-rated groundsman Steve Croskell received further acclaim during The FA National Awards Ceremony at St George’s Park.
With a county award already in his back pocket, Burneside FC’s groundsman was awarded with a much-prized certificate reserved for step seven clubs and below.
Croskell was presented with his accolade in the presence of the FA National Facilities Manager and a member of the FA’s Pitches and Facilities Committee.
Also in attendance was St George’s Park Head Groundsman Alan Ferguson, as well as counterparts from the Premier League and colleagues from all levels of the game.
Croskell, accompanied by his wife Jane and Westmorland County FA Chief Executive Peter Ducksbury, received a guided tour of the pitches at the £105m National Football Centre facility.
