A FIRST-HALF Vanessa Temple hat-trick inspired Kendal to a crucial victory over bottom of the table Woolton at Childwall School.
After conceding an early goal, Temple’s treble ensured the foundations were laid for a first win in four games as Kendal led 3-1 at the break.
Joanne Thompson’s second-half penalty extended the Kendal advantage with Faye Armstrong making it five with a scrambled close-range effort.
Despite a Gemma Charlton own goal, Kendal secured a victory which moves the Mintcakes to sixth in the league table, with Accrington due at Parkside Road on Sunday, January 5, kick-off 2pm.
