KENDAL firm Gilkes – the official shirt sponsor of Kendal Town – will compete against the Mintcakes in a friendly fixture at Parkside Road on Sunday, January 26, kick-off 1pm.
The Kendal side will be made up of first-team players as well as under-18s while the Gilkes team will consist of their Sunday league side as well as guest striker Michael Coulson.
The York City forward – who played for Barnsley in an FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea – is friends with Gilkes manager Andy George, while two other professionals are set to play.
Admission for the game is £2 with plenty of activities planned.
