KENDAL Town's CDS Under 18s came from 2-0 down to take a share of the spoils in their opening Under 18 Floodlight League game against Chorley at The Lancaster and Morecambe College Stadium on Monday night.

It was a relatively quiet start to the game with both sides unable to fashion any early opportunities on goal.

As the half progressed the game began to open up with Chorley posing the most danger in front of goal.

However it was Kendal who almost went 1-0 infront when Jake Walker's cross in from the right hand side rebounded off the post.

But with 35 minutes on the clock it was the visitors who went ahead after being awarded a penalty for hand ball.

Robert Wone stepped up to convert - sending keeper Richard Jackson the wrong way.

Chorley made it two before half-time when Lewis Kelsall broke clear to chip the oncoming Jackson.

Kendal's Joe Hornby almost pulled a goal back just before half time only to see his effort well saved by Macauley Scott in the Chorley goal.

At the start of the second half the home side got a goal back through an own goal after George Mason drilled the ball across the goal as the Chorley defender inadvertently put the ball into his own net.

And Kendal were soon level when George Mason's well taken effort found the back of the net.

As the half progressed Kendal looked most likely to grab a winner, with Chorley's Callum Darcy the closest for the visitors with his free kick sailing over the bar.

Kendal Towns CDS are next in action on Monday when they travel to play Macclesfield. Their next home game is on October 27 when they host Barrow.
