Kendal Towns' Ladies team failed to continue their run of good form as they suffered an away defeat to Carlisle United.

Town lost 3-1 on a day that saw them struggle to find their rhythm.

They started poorly and went 1-0 down as they could not get the free-flowing football they have shown earlier this season.

But after the half time break Kendal improved and they exerted some consistent pressure on the hosts before Faye Armstrong levelled the scores.

It looked as though Kendal would go on to win the game but two quick-fire goals from Carlisle took the match out of reach.

Despite a much improved second half performance Kendal Town Ladies were always chasing the game and returned from Carlisle with no points.

Their next game is at home this Sunday against unbeaten CMB Ladies who drew 0-0 away at Workington at the weekend.

The game kicks off at 2pm and entry is free.
