KENDAL Town Ladies made it two wins from two as they march up the North West Women's Regional League.

They put in an impressive performance as they comfortably beat Leigh RMI 4-2 away from home at the Leigh Sports Village.

Kendal got off to a flying start in a game they dominated throughout.

Their control of possession and intricate, fast-paced play saw them make the perfect start as they scored after just three minutes.

Heather Ramsey opened the scoring following a strong, direct run down the right wing.

And Faye Armstrong doubled the lead five minutes later when the ball fell to her after some good build up play.

She calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left hand corner.

The hosts got back into the game against the run of play when they stole a goal back on 31 minutes.

At half time it was 2-1 to Kendal.

With just five minutes of the second half played, Kendal extended their lead once more.

A superb long range effort from Elsie Atkinson on 50 minutes took it to 3-1.

The dominant Town performance was capped by a 75th minute goal by Armstrong - her second of the afternoon.

She beat the offside trap and latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball by Lauren Downham before elegantly lobbing it over the stranded Leigh goalkeeper.

Leigh pulled a goal back on 85 minutes but the game finished 4-2 and Town move into fifth in the table.

Kendal welcome Leigh RMI for the return fixture on Sunday, November 9 at 2pm.

Admission is free.
