There were some big results in the latest round of the Westmorland Football League as Teams from all three divisions competed in what was a busy afternoon of action.
Keswick won the crucial game at the top of Westmorland League Division One as the current league champions came from a goal behind to defeat Kendal United 3-1 at Bulmire Stripes. Kendal, who finished second last season, started the game brightly and were 1-0 up through Brandon Croskell Robinson.
However Keswick battled back and won the game thanks to a brace by Declan Robinson and a Sam Reilly effort.
In the other games, braces from Sean Elliott and Brad Renwick eased Kirkoswald to a 5-2 win over Wetheriggs United.
Ambleside United and Sedbergh Wanderers battled out a 1-1 draw, Windermere defeated Ibis 3-1, while Pirelli's game with Appleby was abandoned.
In Westmorland League Division Two, Matt Kennedy's double strike and Cameron Toal Lim's goal eased Kendal United Reserves to an important 3-1 win at Eden Thistle.
Nathan Dixon snatched a late equaliser for Endmoor KGR as they drew 1-1 with Braithwaite.
Castletown United edged out Keswick Reserves 3-1, with goals from Tyler Boyes, Larry Hand and Searus Aynsley.
Scott Underwood's hat trick helped league leaders Wetherigg United Reserves to a 3-2 win over Ullswater United.
Shap routed Greystoke 4-0, while Langwathby United saw off Staveley United 3-2.
Division Three Leaders AFC Carlisle were held to a 3-3 draw with Appleby Reserves, Wiliam Cornthwaite scored a hat trick in Burneside Reserves 9-2 rout of Kirkoswald Reserves.
In the other games Lunesdale United Reserves scored five goals in the last twenty five minutes as they defeated Ibis Reserves 5-0.
Penrith Royal defeated Ambleside United Reserves 7-2, while Nico Noreci, Luke Ireland, Paul Whittaker and Max Sizer were all on target for Endmoor KGR Reserves after they collected a comfortable 4-0 away win at Penrith Town.
