WITH just two more weeks left before the Christmas break, it was all to play for in the Kent Valley Junior Football League on what was an action packed weekend of action.

Kirkby Lonsdale climbed to the top of the Under 16 league after a comprehensive 5-0 home win over Ibis Athletic. Jack Armstrong scored a brace, while Ethan Foster, James Lawson and an own goal sealed a comfortable win.

Kendal United Rockets also remained in contention after they picked up a comfortable 9-0 win at Heathwaite United. James Bennett scored four goals, while Sol Huntley bagged a hat trick.

Ibis remain undefeated in the Under 15 League after a comfortable 3-0 win over Heathwaite United, Patrick Savage,Ryan Smith and Kelton Knowles with the goals, while Wattsfield were held to a 3-3 draw with Ambleside.

Wattsfield found the net through Aaron Blackburn, Joe Rhodes and Moses Helliwell, while Ambleside replied thanks to a brace by Harrison Turner, and a Charlie York goal.

In the Jim Troughton under 14 League Nathan Hankinson's hat trick helped Milnthorpe and District to a comfortable 4-0 win over Milnthorpe Town. While in the David Hayton Peugeot under 13 League Ambleside picked up a 5-2 win over Milnthorpe Town's under 13s.

However most of the action came in the Lakes Carpet Cleaning Under 12 League where 25 goals were scored four league games played.

In the first game Kendal United and Heathwaite United battled out a 5-5 draw. Archie Reid's hat trick and a brace by Jamie Harris had put Kendal in control. However Jack Spiby's hat trick helped Heathwaite United to an important point.

Grange United edged out Ambleside United 3-2, Milnthorpe United defeated Wattsfield 4-1, while Matthew Casson scored a hat trick in Wattsfield United’s 4-1 win over Heathwaite under 12s.
