It was quarter final day in the junior cup while plenty of games were played in the Westmorland League on a busy Saturday afternoon of action.
In the Junior Cup, Kirkby Lonsdale progressed into the semi finals after a comfortable 7-2 win over Braithwaite, while Endmoor KGR progressed after an emphatic 9-2 win over Ullswater United.
There was a cup upset at Castle Drive after Appleby Reserves from Division Three picked up a 2-1 win over Second Division side Kendal United Reserve. Appleby claimed the win thanks to a brace by Morgan Fothergill.
Cartmel and District Reserves defeated Keswick Reserves 2-0 as they made it through to the semifinals of the competition.
Westmorland League Division One was hit by plenty of postponements as only three games survived the weather . The big game at the bottom end of the league saw Windermere come from behind to defeat Ibis 3-2 at the Jubilee Playing Fields.
Appleby closed the gap at the top of the league after a hard-fought 3-1 win at Ambleside, Jordan Crawford,Dan Robinson and Charlie Addison Adams on target, while Pirelli picked up a 4-0 win over Wetheriggs United as the Carlisle based team moved up to third in the table.
Shap defeated Langwathby United 5-1 to extend their advantage at the top of Westmorland League Division Two. Luke Frazer scored a hat trick before Jordan Palmer and Jordan Turner completed the scoring.
Martin Swainson's free kick helped Staveley United to an important 2-1 win over Carleton Banks, before Dent Fc defeated Wetherigg United Reserves 6-2.
In Westmorland League Division Three, league leaders AFC Carlisle were held to a surprise 1-1 draw at Burneside Reserves.
Tom Blenkarn and Stephen Sewell guided Ambleside Town to a narrow 2-1 win at Kirkoswald Reserves,
Lunesdale United defeated Penrith Academy 2-0, Scott O Callaghan's hat trick and a Fredi Kadeli goal helped Endmoor KGR Reserves to a 4-4 draw at Penrith Royal.
Their was also a first win of the season for Penrith Saints who defeated Ambleside United Reserves 9-2.
