A Glenn Steel goal after five minutes gives Town a deserved 1-0 lead at half-time at Grange Lane.
Steel nodded home a Keiran Walmsley corner from the right but was later replaced by Lee Mulvaney after picking up an ankle injury.
Town should have extended their lead when Carl Osman was put through by Alex Taylor but Wilson in goal pulled off a good two-handed save.
North Ferriby could have got back into the game after breaking from a corner, but the resulant header ended up on the roof of the net, rather than in it.
