INGLETON’s relegation woes were compounded on Saturday as they could only manage a 1-1 draw with bottom of the league Swarthmoor SC.
Ingleton moved two points clear of Arnside in the Premier Division thanks to a Robert Baker goal but Arnside have three games in hand on both Ingleton and Swarthmoor.
In a weather affected North Lancashire Football League programme, Bowerham/Furness United moved within two points of the top with a gripping 4-3 win at Morecambe Royals, while Galgate edged a close match at Marsh United 3-2.
In Division one just two games escaped the frost as Boys Club won 2-0 against Millhead and Colleg AFC won 4-1 at Heysham.
Division Two side Bentham Reserves were knocked out of the Whiteside Challenge Cup in the first round after goals from Daryl McHugh (2) and Stuart Leeming saw Boys Club Reserves safely through.
But there was away day joy for Kirkby Lonsdale Reserves who won 4-2 at AFC Moorlands.
Jason Roper scored a brace while Steve Jamieson and Andy Metcalfe ensured a rare victory, which moves Kirkby level with their rivals in their own fight against relegation.
