RIVERSIDERS started the year on a high with an excellent display of football that really showed their progression over the 15 months they have been running.
Arriving late, the team was rushed into a game but they were out of the blocks fast and were cruising at 4-0 up within five minutes against East Lancashire.
In their second match they went down 4-1 against Lytham before a a spectacular match saw them draw 4-4 with AFC Masters Green.
Leading 2-0, the side dropped 3-2 behind but two quick goals put them 4-3 up.
But with just seconds left Green equalised.
Despite playing very well the Riversiders lost 6-1 and 5-2 in their final two games, against AFC Masters White and Mill Hill.
