Town have hit form at just the right time, currently sitting in a play off spot, with a few matches remaining, every game they now play could mean the difference between the play offs and a top half of the table finish.

When the season started either of the above would have been great for Town, considering the lack of resources, that have been available too them. However they can almost feel the play offs and misisng out now would be heartbreaking for the team and the fans.

This Saturday they face off against 2nd in the table Ilkeston Town at Parkside Road, this is an acid test for the team who are up against an Ilkeston side who last lost a league game last October, and currently sit 2nd behind the leaders Eastwood Town. The match is also special as Sir Tom Finney is the match sponsor, hence the club calling it Presidents day (With Sir Tom Finney being the club president). The Mayoress of Kendal as well as local MP Tim Farron will also be in attendance at the weekend as well as some ex Preston North End players and some important business men.

So a perfect occasion for Kendal to shine, and these sorts of matches tend to bring the best out of the players, and i am quietly confident that Kendal can do something this weekend. The acid test starts now and i am hoping for a high attendance at the ground.

Come on the Town!
